Donald Perry

Donald R. "Donnie" Perry, Jr., 47, Indianapolis, died July 30, 2014. He was born July 21, 1967. He was a graduate of Danville High School and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Donnie worked for the Hendricks County Sheriffs department and was the North Salem Chief of Police. He also worked with the Indianapolis Marriot (downtown) in loss prevention. Donnie was a big sports fanatic! He was a long- time fan of Florida State University and the Indianapolis Colts. He enjoyed watching the tv show "Friends" and listening to 80's music, especially Van Halen. Donnie enjoyed traveling with Cheryl and spending time with his dog, Apollo. He was a caring, loving, thoughtful, generous and fun husband and father. Donnie married Cheryl December 12, 2011 at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. The family would like to thank the doctors, chaplains, and nurses in the Cardiac Critical Care 4East and Palliative Care/Hospice 5B areas at IU Health Methodist. A special thank you also to David, Mike, Caleb, and Phil Thomas and spouses for your continued love of Donnie. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; sons, Brandon, Jacob, Joshua Perry; stepdaughter, Andrea (Jordan) Bayles; brother, Tony Litteral; mother and stepfather, Margaret and George Litteral; and also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held Saturday, August 2 at 5pm with visitation beginning at 3pm until time of service in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis.
