Obituary
Kathy Drew, 62, of Indianapolis passed away August 25, 2014. She was born January 1, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN to Paul and Margaret (Whitt) Brooks. Kathy earned her Master Degree and was a nurse at Riley Hospital for 40 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who was always putting others before herself. Kathy enjoyed going camping and fishing. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Roy Drew; son, Brian Drew; step son, Scott Drew; step daughter, Christina Arriaga; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; nephews, Donald and Garry Frick; niece, Faye York; sister in laws, Sharon Hysong and Rhonda Johnson and brother in law, Donald Frick. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27 from 4 pm - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 28 at 10 am, also at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ASPCA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929 or to a charity of ones choice.

Dear Roy,You and the world have lost a true treasure. Kathy was always herself and funny as all get out! She was one of my best friends in High School and the Godmother of my youngest son. I had so many good times at your house when we were in High School. A lot of line dancing! Her Dad is surely dancing with her tonight. I'm sure if I look up tonight that the brightest star in the universe will be Kathy smiling down from heaven. I know you will miss her terribly. Take care of yourself and your family. Kathy was an honest and caring person and just all around a great person and I know God has called her early as he needs another angel to help him in heaven. You will be greatly missed Kathy! We had the pleasure of working with Kathy on the old Toddler unit at Riley. Kathy's sense of humor and willingness to mentor a couple of newbie nurses will never be forgotten. She taught us many things that are still with us today. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time.

To Roy and Family I had the great pleasure to work with Kathy on that old Toddler Unit at Riley.
