Rosalie G. (Esselman) Eddington, 88, of Avon passed away May 5, 2015. She was born July 16, 1926 in Perryville, Missouri to August and Annie (Brewer) Beinlien. Rosalie was employed at the International Shoe Company of Perryville, MO and Galyans Market in Plainfield, IN and Brownsburg, IN. She was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church since 1966, St. Joseph Altar Society, Senior Harvest House and was a former parish council member. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Olive Manche; son, Ronald J. Esselman and husband, Elvis J. Esselman whom she was married to for 53 years. Rosalie is survived by her sons, James R. Esselman of Sedalia, MO and William E. (Patricia M.) Esselman of Indianapolis, IN; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7 from 4 pm – 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 8 at 10 am with visitation 1 hour prior in St. Susanna Catholic Church, 1210 E. Main St., Plainfield. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.

Rest In Peace my little Rosalie. You are with your Elvis now. I am at peace to know you are in Heaven and smiling down on all of us. I will miss your warm hugs and that precious little smile. My heart and love goes out to your family, every one of them. Hugs!

I am so sorry for the Eddington Family and your loss, I lost my Mom last year. I have found death to leave me with a feeling of helplessness. May I leave you this word of encouragement that has helped me. The Bible says at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 that God hates death, and shows it to be an enemy. He has "a yearning" to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He longs to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on earth again. -Job 14:14,15.
