Savannah Leann Bettis, 18, of Indianapolis passed away June 4, 2015. Savannah was born on August 11, 1996 in Indianapolis, IN to John and Wendy (Stallings) Bettis. Savannah was a graduate of Ben Davis High School, Class of 2015 where she was also a member of the Show Choir. Savannah loved being a part of the choir and singing alongside her dear friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family at home and photography. She was an amazing young woman that had a smile that would light up a room. Savannah is survived by her parents; grandparents Bill and Karen Sommers, David and Susan Bettis, Ronnie Stallings and Janet Ray; fourteen aunts and uncles; twelve cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11 from 2 pm – 8 pm in Chapel Rock Christian Church, 2020 N. Girls School Road, Indpls. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12 at 1 pm with visitation one hour prior, also in the church. Arrangements entrusted to Stevens Mortuary. Our hearts break for you and your family. I was near the accident that day and was praying. I lost my 23 year old nephew four years ago also in a car accident. He was also an only child. I will be praying for you now and as the weeks go on. May God hold you in His arms and comfort you during these difficult weeks.

I just want to send out my condolences to the family and friends of Savannah Bettis. I didn't know this young lady personally but from everything I have seen from a mutual friend (Courtney) we share and everything via social media she was a very special person with a one of a kind spirit that was loved by many & her memory will go on forever.

I did not know Savannah personally but I know many members of the Bettis family. We were just speaking to her grandparents in early May and they spoke about all of the grand kids and how much fun & love they gave each other. May fond memories of Savannah bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and smile at the fact that you were able to share these before she passed away. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Savannah was a great person. She truly had a light inside her that could just make everyone happy. All she did was smile, she never talked down about anyone , she was overall a perfect person. And those kind of people are hard to find now days. I've spent days thinking why her ? Why her ?! She had her whole life ahead of her. She had a dream to be a photographer. And I hope her dream gets past on. Her memory and her bright soul is still here shining with us. She will be here every step of the way. She had a personality, that is difficult to find in a person. And no one will ever forget that. BenDavis is bleeding purple for Savannah. May she wrap her wings of light around us and help us reach through this time. Rest in peace Savannah. And I send my thoughts to her family.
