Obituary
Rosemary Sheley, 82, of Danville passed away July 17, 2015. She was born January 30, 1933 in Decatur, IN to Leo T. and Florence L. Gillig. Rosemary was a beloved and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate from Decatur Catholic High School and was employed through the years at Western Union, Danners and Wayne Township Fire Department. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Fr. John Gillig. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John T. Sheley; daughter, Susan Sheley Romie; son, John T. Sheley Jr.; grandchildren, Mariea, Madelyn, Quinn and Kai; brothers; Albert, David, Donald, Anthony and Gerald Gillig and sister, Sally Smith. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21 from 4 pm – 7:30 pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 22 at 10 am in Mary Queen of Peace, 1005 W. Main St., Danville, IN.

Rosemary was so much the spark plug of her family, and she and my brother John were really inspirational in helping me develop as a youngster following my fathers passing.

Heaven received another angel. Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your wife, mother, and grandmotherber. It was an honor to have known such a great person and I will truly miss my friend. So happy that John, Susie, John Jr, and the grandkids got to do so many things together. You have beautiful memories of her and so do I. We had such good times together. I am truly blessed to have had Rosebud as my friend. May God embrace you in comfort during this difficult time. Miss you Rosebud RIP my friend.

John, I was sorry to hear about Rosemary today from a friend on Facebook. I'll be thinking of you and your family this coming week and my prayers will be with you all. I ran across a recipe just the other day with her name on it. It was of something you brought to IUPUI.

At one time Rosemary brought over some freshly bake Baklava. It was the best that I have ever had. She loved talking about the grandkids. She was always cheerful and kind. We will miss you deeply.
