Marie P. Califar, 95, of Indianapolis passed away September 2, 2015. She was born on May 20, 1920 in Indianapolis, IN to Noah and Mabel Johnson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nick Califar Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Califar and Janet Noblitt and grandchildren, Nikki Miller, Justin Noblitt, Zach Miller and Alec Miller. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8 from 11 am – 1 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis.

I am so sorry for the Califar Family and your loss; I recently lost my Mom. I have found death to leave me with a feeling of helplessness. May I leave you this word of encouragement that has helped me? The Bible says at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 that God hates death, and shows it to be an enemy. He has "a yearning" to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He longs to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on earth again. -Job 14:14, 15. My sincere condolences.
