Obituary
Nicholas Robert Sommers, 34, Indianapolis, passed away August 25, 2015. He was born in Danville, IN to William R. and Karen Sommers on September 12, 1980. Nick had previously worked at Dreamscapes Landscaping and Best Buy. He was so excited he was going back to work for Stokes Plumbing. They were going to send him to plumbing school to get his journeyman license. Nick loved music and always had his earbuds in. He loved to play his guitar. Nick was also a good artist and loved to write poems. Nick loved playing video games with his son, Lincoln, and best friend, Justin. Mindi was his high school sweetheart and a wonderful wife. Mindi and Nick loved each other so much that they could finish each other sentences! When Lincoln was born he was so proud and patient with him. Nick is survived by his wife of 14 years, Mindi Rita Jean Seyfried Sommers; son, Lincoln; parents, William and Karen; sisters, Christy Furrey of Winter Garden, FL, Wendy and Bridget Sommers; brothers, Brian, John Bettis and Josh Sommers; best friend and brother-in-law, Justin Seyfried; mother-in-law, JoAnn Goldman; and father-in-law, Rick Seyfried. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 30 from 3pm-8pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31, at 1pm with visitation from 12pm-1pm prior to the service also in the mortuary.

I am so sorry for the Sommers Family and your loss; I lost my Mom last year. I have found death to leave me with a feeling of helplessness. May I leave you this word of encouragement that has helped me? The Bible says at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 that God hates death, and shows it to be an enemy. He has "a yearning" to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He longs to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on earth again. -Job 14:14, 15. My sincere condolences.
