Obituary
David Eric Miller, 66, of Indianapolis passed away September 21, 2015. He was born February 2, 1949 in Indianapolis, IN to Forrest E. and Ada (Stafford) Miller. Dave retired from CF after 28 years of service. He also worked at the Eagle Pines Golf Course for 8 years. Dave enjoyed fishing, hiking, golfing, woodworking, carpentry, telling stories and spending time with his grandkids. He was a volunteer fireman in Hudson, IN and was a town youth leader. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carol Miller; daughter, Becca Murley; grandchildren, Libby, Kamryn and David Murley; future grandson, Justin Eib; brothers, Mark (Terry) Miller and Forrest E. MIller II and many many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25 from 2 pm - 4:30 pm with a funeral service at 4:30 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis. Contributions may be made to the family or American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.

Carol, we are so sorry to hear about Dave. We always enjoyed the visits when you came to Florida. Dave was a great guy and so much fun to be with . He will be truly missed. Our prayers are with you and your family. Love you Cuz

Dave Miller and his booming voice was one of the pillars of my youth in Hudson. Like many other men in Hudson, whether he knew it or not, Dave played a very pivotal role as a surrogate father to me. He lives on in each and every life he touched. Whether it was throwing us around at Pleasant Lake, talking to us when we were next door at the Clingan's or calling us down to his house to fetch our dog that would ring his doorbell. Dave was a great human being and will be missed by many.

Although we never met you have a nephew who is a fine example of manhood in David Parrish. If you were as good a person as he is then you and I would have been good friends. I offer prayers for your family's peaceful acceptance of GOD's will.

Dave was such a lovable guy and I always had such a great time visiting with everyone up in Indiana. I pray for healing for all and wish I could be there to give everyone a hug. Dave, please say "hi" to my Mom Pearl and Aunt Vi and Uncle Jim in heaven and have some good laughs together. Love, Barbara

I am so sorry for the Miller Family and your loss; I recently lost my Mom. I have found death to leave me with a feeling of helplessness. May I leave you this word of encouragement that has helped me? The Bible says at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 that God hates death, and shows it to be an enemy. He has "a yearning" to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He longs to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on earth again. -Job 14:14, 15. My sincere condolences.
