March 7, 1951 -- Sept. 25, 2015 David Earl Carter, 64, of Terre Haute, passed away Sept. 25, 2015, of natural causes in his home. He was born to Carl and Joann Carter on March 7, 1951. He was a disabled Vietnam veteran and worked helping other veterans. He is survived by his mother, Joann Roberts of Terre Haute; one daughter, Heather Campbell (Josh) of Terre Haute; and one son, Jeremy Carter of Terre Haute. He also is survived by two brothers, Carl (Sonny) Carter of Galveston, Texas, and Danny Carter of Indianapolis; one stepbrother, Walt Roberts (Runette) of Greenwood; one stepsister, Donna (Ray) Dailey; two grandchildren, Sidney and Carter Campbell; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl, and his stepfather, Walt Roberts. He was loved dearly and will be missed by many.
