Obituary
Virginia L. Keen, 90, of Indianapolis passed away November 23, 2015. She was born on November 11, 1925 in Linton, IN to Orlando and Lula Gibbens. Virginia was a member of the Order of the Easter Star in Brazil, IN and Mt. Olive United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Charles E. Keen. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Messer; son, Edward Keen; 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27 from 5 pm – 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 28 at 11 am, with visitation one hour prior, also in the mortuary.

Hi, I wanted to send my condolences for your loss. Virginia Keen seemed very family oriented. She lived a long life and was" conscious of her spiritual need" Matthew 5:3. I lost my dad and I hope you hold on to all the good memories. We can be comforted to know that 1 Corinthians 15:26 say's God hates death, and soon "will be brought to nothing." My condolences to the family and friends. The loss of a loved one is never easy but please take comfort in remembering that there is going to be a resurrection. God's word the bible tells us at Acts 24:15 that there is going to be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous, and with this promise it is possible to see her again. More comfort is given at Rev. 21:3,4 that talks about a restored paradise where the human family will have the prospect of enjoying life without end, free of sickness, disease and death as we welcome back our dear loved ones. I hope that these scriptures give you comfort along with the many wonderful memories of Virginia your loved one.
