Wanda Hughes-Rhudy

Wanda C. Hughes-Rhudy, 84, of Brownsburg, IN passed away on March 3, 2016. Wanda was born in Indianapolis on May 29, 1931 to John Basil and Ruby Katherine (Harover) Hughes. Wanda graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1949. The following year she married Tom, her high school sweetheart and "the love of her life." She raised seven children while staying involved in the Catholic church. She was an excellent Bridge player and stayed active in various Bridge clubs her entire life. Wanda took up tennis during the 70s. She loved the game and became a good doubles partner for Tom. Throughout her life her main focus was always on her family. Her home was a meeting place during the holidays. In fact, her home was always open to her family and was always full. She was devoted to her children, her 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandkids. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; brother William D. Hughes; daughter, Tracey (Stewart) Rhudy and son, Thomas Rhudy. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, C. Thomas Rhudy; children, Kimberly (Longo) Rhudy, Tim Rhudy, Kevin Rhudy, David Rhudy, Kelly (Taylor) Rhudy; grandchildren, Alison (Hartung) Rhudy, Timothy C. Rhudy, Christina Rhudy, Brittany Rhudy, Erik Longo, Andrea Longo, Derek Rhudy, Jordan Rhudy, Kayla Rhudy, Coty Rhudy, Lacie Rhudy, Michelle Stewart, Victoria Stewart, David Stewart, Joseph Stewart, Daniel Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Mark Taylor and Thomas Taylor; sister Deanna R. Hughes-Bieze;brothers Donald E. Hughes and James (Lee) Carter.
