Carol Rae (Cubel) Keen, 78, of Speedway, passed away March 31, 2016. Daughter of Oscar and Leatha Cubel. Mother of JoAnn (Mike) Eckman, Sister of John and Jimmy Cubel (deceased), Phil (Ann) and Bob (Judy) Cubel, Sandra (Dorwin) Whitis, Linda (Mike) Brezko, Pamella (Dennis) Hawkins, Terre (Richard) Dawson, Becky (Ed) Haste. Grandmother of Michael (Sarah) Smith and Kristie (Matt) Huff. Great grandmother of Alyssa, Lainie and Taylor Smith and Tristin, Kyra, Bryce Huff. Carol was employed at the Fairfield Inn, in the hospitality department. Carol was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 64. She loved to play euchre and bingo with her friends.

Carol: I have many great memories going back to staying at your house on Holt Road, going to the Speed Drome, Sue Kay Restaurant, Riding the bus DT to Troy's Restaurant and Circle Theater and later Knobby's, Lums, Sunday Afternoons at the Holiday Inn. Thank you for making me go to work with you there. It has been a great career. You will be missed Dear Sister. I hope your journey will bring you back to John & Jimmy, Mom and Daddy. My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is never easy. but may God strengthen and sustain you as you remember his word the Bible at Acts 24:15 that says there is going to be a resurrection. With this hope it is possible for you to see her again. Further, Rev. 21:4 talks about a restored paradise earth where the human family will have the chance to enjoy life without end, free of sickness, disease and death as we welcome back our dear loved ones. We look towards yet another of God's promises found at 1 Co.15:26 that says the last enemy, death, will be brought to nothing. Though your hearts are full of grief now, please know that all these promises will happen because it is impossible for God to lie. I hope these Bible verses along with the site jw.org that have a wealth of information for all areas of life's anxieties, help you as they do me. May all the many wonderful memories that Carol your loved one provided comfort you during this most difficult time.
