Obituary
James M. Agnew, 67, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on July 6, 2016. James was born on May 19, 1949 in Toledo, OH to Jared B. and Marie A. (Cousino) Agnew. James grew up in Erie, MI. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.A. in Education in 1973. He was employed at Amerisure Insurance as a Senior Premium Auditor. James was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. James greatly enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, especially his granddaughter Anna. He enjoyed making stained glass, reading, bird-watching, walking, and playing with his cats. James enjoyed listening to old radio shows and watching old TV shows and also listening to music. He will be missed by many. James is preceded in death by his parents, brother in-law Tom Vance, one niece and one nephew. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, France Agnew; daughter, Fiona (Brandon) Duke; son, Julien (Hilary) Agnew; sister, Judy Vance; brothers, Jared (Julie) Agnew, John (Geraldine) Agnew; granddaughter, Anna Duke; two nieces, six nephews and five cats. Visitation for James will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis, IN 46224 from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at St. Michael 3354 W. 30th St., Indianapolis, IN at 10:30 AM. The family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Kidney Cancer Association.

His daughter Fiona is my supervisor and a wonderful woman. She is such a good person that it seems certain her father was a fine man. I am sure he will be greatly missed, and my sympathy and prayers are with the family at this time.
