Patricia Ann Cookson, 70, of Indianapolis passed away on July 29, 2016. She was born on January 21, 1946 to Albert and Helen Cookson. Patricia had an identical twin sister, Shirley Ann (Cookson) Garrison. Patricia worked in accounting as a bookkeeper. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister Shirley. Patricia is survived by her sister, Carol Hill; brother, Albert Cookson; brother-in-law, Bill Garrison; nieces, Sharon Roberts and Susan Jones; nephews, David Hill, James Hill, Andrew Hill, Skipper Cookson, Timmy Cookson and great nephew, Charles Burdick. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN. with visitation from 1:00 PM until the time of service. The family kindly asks that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 3500 DePaw Blvd. Suite 1040, Indianapolis, IN 46268

My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is never easy. May our loving God continue to bless and strengthen you as you remember that his Word the Bible at John 5:28, 29 says that there is going to be a resurrection. With this promise it is possible for you to see her again. The best friend a bereaved person can have is our Creator, Jehovah God. We are encouraged at 1 Peter 5:7 to pour out our heart to him in prayer because "he cares for you." Moreover, he promises that all who do so will have their thoughts and feelings soothed by "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding." (Philippians 4:6,7) Please allow God to help you heal by means of his consoling Word, the Bible. May all the many wonderful memories that Patricia your loved one provided comfort you during this most difficult time.
