Obituary
Richard Vandenbergen, 9/30/29 – 9/1/16 Richard (Dick) Vandenbergen, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 1, 2016. He was born and raised in Arpin, Wisconsin and was always true to his beloved Green Bay Packers. Richard served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed overseas for 18 months. His working career was with Eastern Airlines where he retired after 34 years. As a resident of Speedway, he became an avid promoter of living green and actively participated in the Town of Speedway's recycling program. And during the month of May in Indianapolis, he was not only a fan of the Indy 500, but worked on many pit crews over the years and always enjoyed listening to the roar of the engines coming from the track. He is survived by three children and spouses, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

So sorry to here of Dick's passing. Glad I got to see him this past year. .He will be sorely missed. I enjoyed working with him in Speedway Project Recycle and on the Solid Waste Commission. Have known him for a long time. I'm sure he's up there having a good time with all the Packer fans. RIP Dick

My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is never easy. John 5:28, 29 says that there is going to be a resurrection. With this promise it is possible for you to see him again. The best friend a bereaved person can have is our Creator, Jehovah God. We are encouraged at 1 Peter 5:7 to pour out our heart to God in prayer because "he cares for you." Moreover, he promises that all who do so will have their thoughts and feelings soothed by "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding." (Philippians 4:6, 7) Please allow God to help you heal by means of his consoling Word, the Bible. May all the many wonderful memories that Richard your loved one provided comfort you during this most difficult time.

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. I still remember the trip our family's took to Hawaii together. What great fun.
