Barbara W. (Barry) Ray, 69, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away December 16, 2016. She was born March 11, 1947 in California, Missouri to Chester and Mary Barry. Barbara was a member and volunteer with the children's ministries of Kingsway Christian Church in Avon, Indiana. Her special interests and hobbies include home décor and staging, repurposing furniture, scrapbooking, and traveling. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Robert C. Ray; mother, Mary L. Barry; sons, Michael and Greg Waggoner; step-son, John M. Ray; step-daughter, Melinda M. Havens; sister, Joyce Carter; brother, Danny Barry; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held December 21, 2016 from 4-7 at Kingsway Christian Church, 7979 E 100 N, Avon, Indiana 46123.

My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is never easy. May our loving God continue to bless and strengthen you as you remember that his word the Bible at John 5:28, 29 says that there is going to be a resurrection. With this promise we have a chance to see our loved ones again. The best Friend a bereaved person can have is our Creator, Jehovah God. We are encouraged at 1 Peter 5:7 to pour out our heart to him in prayer because "he cares for you." Moreover, he promises that all who do so will have their thoughts and feelings soothed by "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding." (Philippians 4:6,7) Please allow God to help you heal by means of his consoling word the Bible. Hard to believe your gone, still can't get my head wrapped around it. I will always cherish and remember the good times we had and there were many. You led me to Christ after Brad died and I will be forever grateful. You stood by me through some really hard family times when no one else was there, I greatly appreciated it. Somehow we drifted apart, not even sure why, I wish things had been different. Goodbye for now, I'll see you in heaven and we'll talk.
