Obituary
Rita Ann DeWeese, 66, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. She was born in Vincennes, IN to James and Anna “Frankie” (Wathen) Starrett. Rita was employed with Clark Products and retired after 30 years of service. Rita was also the Chairman and Founder of the Marcia R. Starrett Cancer Organization, something she was most passionate about. She was also a member of the women's auxiliary for both, the American Legion and the VFW. Rita is preceded in death by her parents; her loving and devoted husband of 39 years who passed away in 2010, Edward Andrew DeWeese; brother, Ronnie Starrett and sister-in-law, Marcia R. Starrett. She is survived by daughters, Theresa (Jonathan) Duncan, Terry (Brian) Forsyth; grandson, Jordan Duncan; granddaughters, Bailey and Brooklyn Forsyth; brother, Richard (Lori) Starrett; sisters, Penny (Rodger) Watts, Mona (Myron) Von Dielingen; and sister-in-law, Geraldine Starrett.

Rita was the best sister-in law anyone could have! She had so much compassion for people and did so much for cancer patients . I loved her so much will really miss all our good times together.i was so fortuate to have her for a sister-in law!

Such a sad loss for the family but a great celebration for rita to be rejoined with the love of her life in heaven. I'm sure she is having an awesome time with all the people she has missed for so long. Rita is young, beautiful and healthy again. I feel blessed that she n ed gave me such beautiful, strong and caring nieces. I am here for you girls always to help lighten the burden that death leaves us. I am very proud of the unselfishness you girls showed to your mother as she traveled to her new home. Remember you shall all be together again.
