Brian Breen

Brian Patrick Breen passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2017. He was born August 6, 1973 and fought a tough battle with epilepsy and diabetes . Brian was a 1992 graduate of Scecina Memorial High School. He was a dedicated and hard worker for Goodwill and Noble Centers of Indiana. Brian is survived by Kathy Collins Breen who was truly his best friend and the most patient, devoted, and loving mother . His hero who he thought hung the moon and loving father Tom and devoted ”other” mom Brenda Breen. His biggest fans, sisters, Erin Breen and Olivia ( Bub) Stevens and brother Ian (Hillary) Breen, aunt Anna Breen and uncle Bobby Breen (Karen). He will be missed dearly by his Grandmother Louise Zore Collins niece Sophie Wishert, nephews Dusten Breen, Garth Wishert, Kayden Breen, Drake Breen, Tommy Stevens and Henry Stevens. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Bernard and Sophie Breen, and grandfather Bob Collins, his buddies and close cousins, William Bo Spears and Christopher Collins and infant cousins Rhett Heyob and Zachary Davis Brian could often be found poolside with many family members who appreciated that he was willing to be our designated lifeguard, whistle and all (ok, maybe we didn't always appreciate the whistle, but you get the point). He was a gentle giant and tenderly looked after all his younger cousins who looked up to him and adored him. Brian was truly a mirror image of all his favorite people. He was a fighter like the Irish of Notre Dame. He was devoted and never gave up like a Cubs fan. He was strong and determined like a Colts quarterback. He was brave and courageous like the Marines in his family. He was fearless like Indiana Jones. He was tough yet tender like the cowboys of his favorite western movies. Most of all he was loved and admired by all who had the honor to know and love him. Please join us in person or in prayer as we celebrate his life on January 19th at St. Gabriel church. Visitation 9:00 until 1:00 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be said.
