Sending love and sympathy to all my Porter cousins and their families. She will be greatly missed. Aunt Ginny taught me so much about humility and patience and love. She was always so, so kind and I always felt warm and loved in her presence. We were all richer for having her. Some of my earliest memories are of Aunt Ginny and Uncle Johnny sitting together with his arm firmly around her shoulder and the look of adoration she gave him. I thought she was so beautiful and he so handsome. And, they were! I am picturing them that way again today - together again.

Virginia, Ginny, was very special to me. She gave me her beautiful daughter Linda as my best friend, and gave of herself in a dark time in my life when she came to the hospital as we kept vigil for my dying husband. She herself was not very well, but there she was to bring comfort and words of wisdom that I will never forget. She was also very witty and fun and good company, and had great personal courage and strength. When I think of the word "lady", in all its good meanings, Ginny Porter epitomized this. She gave her all, and she was very loved in return. Truly hers was a life well lived. Farewell dear friend!

John,
We did not know when we met at the hospital that the final journey for your mother was so near. Know my thoughts and prayers are with you as you move forward. I know that you are blessed with wonderful memories and consoled that your Mother is now at peace and has no pain.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Mrs Porter. Patty and Pete Noel are our dearest friends for over 30 years. We enjoyed the company of Patty's Mom on several occasions. She was one of the kindest, most gracious women we've ever met. She had a wonderful sense of humor and brought a sense of joy to the times we shared with her. I know she will be truly missed by her wonderful family.
