Obituary
Bobby F. Harwood 84, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017. Bobby was born in Scottsville, Kentucky to Harry and Norma Harwood on August 26, 1932. He worked as a supervisor at Standard Brands for 37 years, before retiring at the age of 55. He has been a loving husband to Cathy and a wonderful father to his daughters and grandchildren. Bobby was an outdoorsman who loved to raise and train dogs. He enjoyed raccoon and rabbit hunting. Bobby is survived by his wife Cathy; his children, Pam (Jerry) Goldsberry and LaRessa (Doug) Scheffel; his grandchildren Nicholas (Paige) Goldsberry, Natalie (Nick) Holtgrave, Justin (Kristin) Scheffel and Heather Scheffel; and two great granddaughters; McKenzie and Adelynn. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley and brother, Jerry. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 19 at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM on Monday February 20, 2017 at Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel 645 Harding Street, Plainfield, Indiana. Mausoleum Entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association in care of “Hoofin” for Harwood, 50 East 91st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46240.

Bobby will be missed. I remembered him with his coon dogs in the back yard. He was so proud of them. Mom loved her cousins so much. They had such a good time together. Now they can laugh together in Heaven. If you need anything, please let me know.

I am so sorry for your loss LaRessa! I know it must have been hard knowing that he had Alzheimer's. As my husband has. It is a very terrible disease and very hard on the family and caretakers. I'm sending lots of prayers for your family.

Bobby was a wonderful man. My husband (Lowell Lynn) and I loved him dearly. I met Bobby and Cathy through coon hunting. My husband and Bobby coon hunted together, I've heard many stories, of their coon hunting adventures. He and his precious wife Cathy hold a special place in my heart, every conversation and visit I was privileged to have was always a good one. You will be missed Bobby Harwood.
