Linda E. Hancock, 56, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on March 9, 2017. Linda was born in Indianapolis on May 10, 1960 to Donald A. and Shirley A. (King) Dauenhauer. Linda attained a Masters of Business Administration and Executive MBA from the University of Indianapolis. She was employed with the Indiana University Health Physicians, formerly IU School of Medicine at Riley Hospital for Children, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Pediatric Palliative Care, Practice Administrator. Linda also worked for Marian University, Adjunct Professor of Human Resources and Interpersonal Communications. Linda was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, champion of her family and friends and fearless leader. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mark. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Thomas J. Hancock; daughters, Rebecca, Victoria (Jon); grandson, Cashton; brother, Mike (Denise); sisters, Lisa, Teresa and Mary (Carol); nieces, Mandy (Ed), Maria (Brian), Amy (Jeremy), Teresa (Brady); nephews, Michael (Rachael), Jeffrey (Ruth); great nieces and nephews, Kenna, Aidan, Declan, Anna, Adelyn and Noah. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 6500 Technology Center Dr. Ste 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278

I have known Linda since high school. We had many laughs together and when she was the butt of our jokes she took it like a real trooper. Such a tragic loss way to early in her life. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Linda is very loved and respected by faculty, staff and students at Marian University. Her contributions to the university and students over the last decade made an incredible difference in the lives of so many people. Her memory will remain with us.
