Obituary
David Alan Hall, 77, of Indianapolis passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on March 3, 2017. David was born on April 27, 1939 in Columbus, IN to the late Dale Allen and Wanita Althea (Schenck) Hall. David is preceded in death by his brother, Donald Hall. He proudly served in the United States Army during the years 1957 thru 1960. David was a graduate of Purdue University earning his B.S. in Engineering. He retired after 42 years from Link-Belt Bearing Div. of Rexnord, during which time he was co-named on two patents. He was a faithful member of Speedway United Methodist Church where he was active in Choir, Praise Band and served in other capacities. In earlier times, David enjoyed bowling on Leagues and he volunteered with the Wayne Township 4-H. David was loved and respected by so many and will be missed by all. David is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Judith (White) Hall; daughters, Dr. Ginger (Bruce) Hamilton, Cheryl (Gregory) Huffman, Jacqueline (Gregory) Katter and Wendy (Joseph) Park; grandchildren, Alan Katter, Margaret Katter, Angelica Huffman, David Katter, Marissa Hamilton, Jonathan Katter, Nathanael Hamilton and Baby Boy Park due in the month of July; nieces and nephews, Thomas Hall, Suzie Hall, Jolene White and Jeffrey White; step grandchildren and great grandchildren, Amy (Tony) Meacham and their children Isaac, Sy, Jude and Moriah; Gregory (Nickole) Huffman and their children, Josiah and Samara; and brother-in-law, Joseph White. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th Street, Indpls, IN. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Speedway United Methodist Church, 5065 West 16th Street, Speedway, IN 46224, with Pastor Holly Hardsaw officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. I am so sorry for the passing of David. I onoy met him and his wife Judith once many years ago, but am part of the same Hall family, of John & Sarah Elizabeth Hall of Indiana. I updated my family history after meeting with Dale Hall in Columbus also many years ago and with the help of Wendy Parks of Chicago. ..
I too had cancer, but am now 6 years cancer free. Again, I am so sorry, but also sorry that he and his brother are now both gone.
My condolences to the family, especially his wife, Judith and Wendy, his daughter who I have corresponed with many time over the years.
May he rest in peace and may the family also have peace.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's just not easy. When Wendy and I were college room mates David was always kind to me during his visits to Chicago. May his memory be for a blessing.
