Margaret "Peggy" Hofer, of Indianapolis, Indiana died March 9, 2017 at Indiana University Hospital after an extended stay in the ICU. Born in February 3, 1956 in Indianapolis to Walter and Wanda Ciodyk. Peggy was an avid gardener with a tenacious love for flowers. She received a Master Gardeners Certification from Perdue University. She also had a relentless love for her family and friends. Her passion for love and life was apparent through her delightful smile. She is survived by her husband Bill Parson. Her children, daughter Jennifer McClendon (husband Darius McClendon), son Scott Humphery (wife Heather Humphery), step-children Melissa Parson, David Parson, Michael Parson. Siblings Marcus Ciodyk, Cathy Wysocki, Maria Weidner and Monica Ciodyk.

I am honored and blessed to have known Peggy. She was truly a blessing in my life and I will miss her. May God bless and comfort Bill, her children, grandchildren, sisters, brother and all her family during this time of grief.

Peggy was one of the kindest, most hard-working, and most joyful people I have ever known. She was a true friend who would do anything to help others. Her smile and sense of humor were infectious and made working with her such a pleasure. Her dedication to our students and our school were inspiring. Our mutual love of gardening further strengthened our friendship, and she encouraged me to pursue Master Gardeners' classes, which i thoroughly enjoyed and benefitted from. When she found out that I collected angels she gifted me with many of them, which will forever remind me of her and which I will always treasure. She will be truly missed, but I will always treasure the many happy memories of our friendship. May beautiful memories also bring comfort to her loving family.
