It has been my privilege to know Al for over 50 years. We were in choir together at St. Christopher's, and also both worked at Naval Avionics. I don't think I ever saw Al without a smile on his face, and his 'walking with a purpose' gait! After he retired, if he saw me at Mass, he would always ask about the happenings at NAC (to which Ruth would just roll her eyes!) He kept in touch with the folks he worked with over the years at the monthly retirees luncheons.
He cared about all those he knew - that was Al. Rest in Peace, my friend.

I grew up with the Zetzl family while attending St. Christopher. My heart goes out to you and your family, and pray you all will find comfort being together and sharing your love and memories.

My parents and Alfred's parents were good friends so we grew up together like brothers and sisters. Our memories covered a lifetime of 80+ years. Alfred was always the one with the good stories and laughs. He kept our Germany heritage alive. He was the life of the party. Alfred was a true friend to so many people always sharing and caring for others. I send love and prayers to all the family. May the good memories bring you comfort.

Just learned of Al's passing and wanted to extend heartfelt sympathy to his family. More than simply being his insurance agent, he was a good friend who I always enjoyed seeing at Mass. Al always had wonderful stores to tell and like me, always had strong opinions to share and I enjoyed hearing them. Rest in eternal peace Al.
