Martha Littrell,74, of Indianapolis passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Martha was born in Indianapolis on December 26th, 1942 to Charles W. and Madge M. Hartley, both preceding her in death. Martha had one brother, Charles; and two sisters, Joyce and Linda. Martha graduated from Arsenal Tech in 1961 and then married in august of 1963. She had her one and only son, Gary in April of 1964. She later divorced in 1977. Martha worked at RCA which later became Polygram where she had retired. Martha loved her Hershey Kisses, her teddy bear, reading Harry Potter books, Elvis Presley, Racing and A.J. Foyt. She would spend the whole month of May at the track on vacation. Martha loved NASCAR racing too and she followed her favorites Dale Earnhardt, Tony Stewart and Bill Elliot.

Martha is survived by her loving and devoted son. Gary D. Littrell; daughter-in-law, Denise Littrell; granddaughters, Kimmy and Amy Littrell; great grandson, Bradley Rains all of Indianapolis, IN; and nephew Bill Bell of Franklin, IN.

What a treat Martha was! Mom always enjoyed her and I called them the 3 Musketeers. (Milly, Martha and Margaret) She was always good to mom watching out for her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is never easy. May our loving God continue to bless and strengthen you as you remember that his Word the Bible at John 5:28, 29 says that there is going to be a resurrection. With this promise it is possible for you to see her again because we know that God can not lie. Usually at some point in time after the funeral we may find ourselves all alone to deal with our grief after family members and friends are gone. But please be assured that you are not alone. The best friend a bereaved person can have is our Creator, Jehovah God. We are encouraged at 1 Peter 5:7 to pour out our heart to him in prayer because "he cares for you." Moreover, he promises that all who do so will have their thoughts and feelings soothed by "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding." (Philippians 4:6, 7) May all the many wonderful memories that Martha your loved one provided comfort you during this most difficult time.

My condolences to the family. I know it can be hard. I lost my father and I would like to share with the family what helped me. I went to prayer and Gods word the bible. The scriptures say at Philippians 4:6,7- "by means of prayer, let you petitions be made known to God;(7) and the peace of God that surpass all understanding guard your heart." We have this gift of prayer to help us in hard times. "Because he cares for you" 1 Peter 5:7. So when your alone, God is with you. Pray for peace and our Grand creator Jehovah God will help you. And we have a hope, we have this promise of "the resurrection" to look forward to from Acts 24:15. To see and hug loved ones again with joy. So may you find comfort from talking to God and reading his healing words.
