Obituary

Elizabeth A. (Donahue) Demczyk, 71, of Avon, IN passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Elizabeth was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 29, 1946 to John R. and Catherine A. (Langley) Donahue. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Casey S, Donahue. Elizabeth was a secretary and worked for the Gahanna-Jefferson Schools, and retired from the Three Rivers School District. She also volunteered with Twiggs at the Children's Hospital and worked part time at the Pinnell Dance Center where she enjoyed spending her time the most. She was a devout catholic and was a member of St. Mary in Berea, Ohio; St. Matthew in Gahanna, Ohio; St. Teresa Benediction of the Cross in Bright, IN and currently attended St. Malachy in Brownsburg, IN. Elizabeth is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Walter V. Demczyk. She is also survived by her son, Daniel S. Demczyk of Jersey City, N.J.; daughters, Amy R. Hartman of Avon, IN and Sarah E. (Richard) Chase of Lake Wylie, S.C.; grandchildren, Payton Hartman and Joshua Hartman both of Avon, IN, Sydney Chase, Jackson Chase both of Lake Wylie, S.C.; brother, Dennis (Mercedes) Donahue of Olmstead, OH; sisters Shannon Donahue and Bridgett (Don) Wilson both of Cleveland, OH; brother-in-law, Jim Demczyk of Hebron, OH; sister-in-law, Sonja Michaels of Maggie Valley, N.C.,  several nieces and nephews and many close friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at St. Christopher Catholic Church 5301 W. 16th Street Speedway, IN with visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will take place in North Olmstead, OH.

Dear Wally and Family, My deepest sympathy to you . I know Becky fought hard to overcome this, but now she is at peace and watching over all of you. I have said lots of prayers for her over the last few months. Just know I am thinking of you and wishing you comfort in this very hard time. Wally, Family and Friends What a difficult time this is, to be separated from one of the sweetest spirits ever. Although I only really knew Becky through the high school years, she leaves a lifelong, indelible impression... cute, caring, funny, sincere, personality plus. Becky was someone you just liked to be with. What a blessing for those who were privileged to spend many, many years in her presence! May God bless you and may the special blessings of memories together bring you peace and joy.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Your family no doubt have faith. The bible speaks of what we can have faith in. There's going to be a time when " the God of heaven will set up a kingdom," his kingdom Daniel 2:44. And in Revelation 21:3,4-" God . . . will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain.”​ We have this hope for comfort in hard or sad times. We also look forward to the" resurrection" of our families Acts 24:15. May you find peace in difficult or sad times.
