Obituary

Jennifer “Jenni” Joan Vincent, 64, of Speedway, IN passed away on June 9, 2025. In May of 1961 she was born in Winter Park, FL to Jack Ronald and Wilma Grace (Allemang) Vincent, both preceding her in death.

 

Jenni had obtained her master's degree in music and was an educator for multiple school systems and private lessons. At present, she was an academic advisor for Ivy Tech College. Jenni was also a professional photographer with Lifetouch Portraits Studio.

 

She was a member of the Speedway United Methodist Church and a member of Speedway Tri Kappa / Epsilon Eta.

 

Jenni is survived by her sister Victoria Vincent; niece Amylynn Back; uncles Rick Vincent and Bob Vincent; cousins Judy Konesky and Bonnie Garwood; great niece Kayla Mae Blankenship and great nephew Gable Ray Blankenship; and a host of friends.

 

A funeral service will be held 6:00 PM on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Speedway United Methodist Church 5065 W. 16th Street Indianapolis, IN 46224 with Pastor G. Thomas Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the time of service. With the direction of Spence-Miller funeral home, the Family will also recieve friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Grove City United Methodist Church 2684 Columbus St, Grove City, OH 43123. Interment will follow in Bloomingburg Cemetery in Bloomingburg, OH.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jenni's memory to Speedway United Methodist Church.

Jennifer Vincent was a bright force in our office. She and I were hired on the same day, and trained together. Every day I worked with her after that, I made a point out of greeting her, because she was an easy source for a smile. I would greet her by full name, but would assign her a make believe middle name because she insisted I guess at her real middle name, which I never knew until now. Of the thousands I assigned her, she approved of three or four, and protested the rest. But the ritual always made her smile. Working in our college was such an obvious joy in her life. Her work gave her purpose, great friends, and as an Advisor she helped so many people on the path to their goals. She will be missed so very much.

My prayers go out to Jennifer's family at friends as you prepare to celebrate Jennifer's memory on Friday. I cannot remember the first time I actually met Jennifer because from the first conversation to our last, she always spoke as though we were lifelong friends. She was extremely friendly and helpful, and she always had a smile or a hearty laugh that was infectious. I have been at Ivy Tech for a short time, but I am blessed that our paths crossed. She was an advocate for her students and sincerely wanted them all to succeed. May God provide the peace and comfort that you need during this time of grief.

I will miss Jenny very much. She cared about me and gave me hugs, and smiles, and warm greetings. I was always blessed to hear her music, and I know she was passionate about her music. I send my condolences to Vicky for such a great loss in her life. I rejoice to know that she is now with Jesus.
