Obituary

Clifford Eugene Ellis Jr, 62, of Indianapolis, Indiana, entered into rest Friday, December 1, 2017.  He was born April 12, 1955 to the late Clifford E. Ellis Sr. and Bonnie L. Ellis.  Clifford was an avid lover of all racing, and enjoyed modeling cars, drawing, painting, and playing guitar.

Clifford is survived by his wife of 36 years, Norma J. Ellis; son, Warren Crain of Indianapolis; daughter, Misty Armstrong of Indianapolis; sisters, Debbie Osbourn of Brownsburg, and Lisa R. Wilson of Lebanon; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 7:00 PM with visitation beginning at 4:00 PM until time of service at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46224.

There aren't many benefits from getting old... but one definite benefit is being able to have been young. And I knew Clifford then. First concert was Black Oak Arkansas at the coliseum , first trip around 465 when it first opened, first drive in movie at Clermont deluxe, ole cliff taught me how to drive when I was 14 way out on those country roads north of Brownsburg. I thank God I knew you then in the early 70's Clifford. Here I am, 47 years later, listening to our Rod Stewart Every Picture Tells A Story as loud as it will go, singing along, just as we did on those ole country roads that were still gravel. Those were the days, we just didn't know it then.
