Christopher E. Laque, 45, of Indianapolis passed away on December 5, 2017. Christopher was born in Indianapolis on October 5, 1972 to William E. and Judith L. (Quigley) Laque. Christopher was an exceptional father and husband. He was proud of his family, but mostly of his children. Christopher was a great brother and uncle that could be counted on and bring a smile to your face. He was an exceptional athlete who excelled in baseball and being healthy. He had a love for music and always wanting to educate himself. Christopher loved cigars and coffee. He enjoyed hunting, attending sporting events. He was a jack of all trades and always trying new. Christopher is preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Irene Laque.  He is survived by his parents; loving and devoted wife of 22 years, Amy L. Laque; son, C. Shane Laque; daughter, Jillienne G. Laque; brothers Craig (Angela) F. Laque, Roger W. Laque; nephews, Alex, Corbin, Blake, Daniel, Bill, David and Kenny; nieces, Sophie, Layla, Brittnay, Brooke and Alyssa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Riley Hospital for Children 705 Riley Hospital Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46202 in honor and memory of Christopher E. Laque.

I am truly honored to have had the pleasure to have known Chris since January 2013. He was an amazing friend that I considered my brother and I am deeply saddened by his passing. Chris was a pretty quiet individual that randomly would say something so funny, that everyone looked around and said, "DID HE JUST SAY THAT?" We would all laugh and share big smiles. I am going to miss, not only seeing him, but the random calls/texts to/from him that we shared. Rarely they were work related but mostly just to say, "HEY MAN, WHAT'S GOING ON?" Chris had a lot of good friends at work that cared deeply for him, not just myself. Several had 1 on 1 encounters with him that they will hold deep in their hearts and will remember those times with him forever. My fellow Praxair family lost a great friend and family member. He stepped in and helped anyone he could without hesitation, all they had to do was ask and he would help. We are all extremely sorry for your loss and are there for you and your family with anything you need. Please don't hesitate to ask.

Dear Amy and family, I just heard today about Chris, and am so full of sorrow that he passed away. I work at Butler University, and Chris was our usual delivery person for gas cylinders and cryogenics. He always put a smile on my face, and I loved hearing him talk about you and the kids - he was so proud of you all, and so much in love. Please know that I am praying for all of you.
