Obituary

Linda J. Urbancic passed away on December 24th in her sleep.  She is survived by her loving husband Vince Urbancic and her daughter Stacey Wilson-Parcel, her son Matthew Wilson, Stacey's husband Dan, Matt's wife Lindsey and her grandchildren Samantha, Chris, Paxton, Scarlett and great-granddaughter JoJo.  She was preceded in death by the father of her two children, Chris A. Wilson.

Born on December 2, 1950 in West Virginia, Linda moved with her family to Plainfield, Indiana, graduating from Plainfield High School in 1968.

Active in her church, The Church on the Rock in Brownsburg, Indiana; she had been looking forward to participating as a member of the Communication Committee.  She particularly relished in deep Bible discussions with church members and family.

Linda especially enjoyed participating in area car shows, where she enjoyed showing and talking about "Baby", her 1990 Thunderbird. Super Coupe.

An inveterate reader, one of her favorite snowy Saturday activities was to sit on the couch, drink coffee, listen to music while reading a book.

She was a loving, devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all.

I'm so very sorry for your families loss, and honestly can't quite fathom that she's gone. We had great times together for many years and I will miss her dearly. My deepest sympathies to Vince Urbancic, Stacey and Dan Parcel, Matthew and Lindsey Wilson, Samantha Cline and the young grandchildren of Linda's. I've known Linda 30 yrs and will remember her for her laughter, knowledge, and love of the beach, ocean, and sand. Her heart and soul always wanted to go back to Florida and now she can go wherever she wants! I'm sure of one thing, the sun is shining wherever she is! I met my friend Linda when I was 10 yrs old when I moved to Plainfield and we were in the same 5th grade class. We just gravitated toward each other. She came to my house and I went to her's. She enjoyed helping out in choir and plays. She moved away from Plainfield before I did, and we wrote letters and she came to see me periodically. With the advent of the cell phone and the computer, we had new ways to stay in touch. She was always candid and open with me, and I always kept her secrets. I was honored she would confide in me. As a girl, I admired her confidence, good looks and playful spirit. There was a lot in her life that should could have blamed and complained about, yet she didn't. She had a steely strength of character that was bigger than her whole frame. Just this year she was telling me how she loved to sit and watch the snow, coffee in hand, and how she had found happiness and peace at last. I will miss my of 57 years. God bless her dear family.

Linda was a wonderful friend as we grew up together. Although we lost touch over the years, she will be terribly missed. We had some wonderful times together which I will cherish. My regards to the family and just know that I will be praying for The Lord to lift your grief and strengthen you as you say fairwell. We will all see Linda again and I know she is happy with the Lord.
