Obituary

Sharon R. (Totton) Keers, 78, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on February 6, 2018. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on June 30, 1939 to Harnold and Lorena (Schanz) Totton, both preceding her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Michael Keers. Sharon was an active member of St. Michaels parish for 53 years. She received the Key to the City for her work sending packages to service men in Vietnam. She enjoyed donating her time and resources to children in need. She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Bill) Gaston of Morgantown, WV, Beth (Chris) Claire of North Bend, OR, Theresa (Bill) Gray of Fishers, IN and Kathleen (Jeff) Wilensky of Indianapolis, IN; sons, Tim Keers of Lafayette, IN and David Keers of Morgantown, WV; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Micheal Catholic Church 3354 W. 30th Street Indianapolis, IN , with visitation from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery.

To all the Keers' family: I have nothing but fond memories of your mother. She and your dad treated me like one of their own growing up on Centennial. Who needed another mouth to feed?... but I remember being nothing but welcome for dinner (except on Chop Suey night!) or for a peanut butter and honey sandwich. And, who can forget popcorn in a brown paper bag? Rascals you all were and thank you for sharing her with me. Love, Les

I was so glad to have the chance to say hello and goodbye to Aunt Sharon during my visit with Jacob. I know that Uncle Mike and the rest of the Totton's are going to be elated to see Sharon again. Blessings to your family from the Boston Millers.
