Tyler received his early education in Gary until his family relocated to Indianapolis where he attended Garden City School and North West High School. Tyler was a remarkable young man. Tyler was also a Die-Hard-Pacer fan. He loved everything Pacer, win or lose. Tyler left Indy to pursue his dream of one day becoming a chef. He would follow his granny around the kitchen being her second-hand cook. Tyler attended The Culinary Arts School in Los Angeles, California until the Lord called him home. Tyler was preceded in death by his loving Papa, Bernard Dozier; his uncle, Nate; and his uncle, Wemmer. He leaves to deeply mourn his loss mother and father, Tamika and Damon Sloss; three children, Kavon, Kamyla and Kaliel; maternal grandmother, Sylvia Dozier; paternal grandmother; Debra Sloss; three brothers, Tyrane (Kindra), Derrick (Dovie) and Davon; four sisters, Dalmesha, Diamon, Daeshona and Joyce Lyn; four aunties, Teresa, Pamela, Jackie and Sofeia; seven uncles, John (Linda Doreian), Elijah, Emanuel, Courtney, Joseph and Jermaine; one great aunt, Mildred; two great uncles, William (Debra) and Steven (Gale); eighteen first cousins and thirty great cousins. My Hilarious Little Cousin, though miles and years separated us, you were never far from my thoughts. The news of your passing brings such sadness. I will hold onto the precious memories of babysitting you. I pray that your children will live lives that honor your memory. I look forward to meeting them one day, your legacy in little form. Sending my deepest prayers to our entire family. Rest peacefully, Cousin, and embrace those who await you. Your gentle spirit and funny side will always be remembered. I hope you knew how loved you were and how much you will be missed. To our family, especially your parents, siblings, children, and dear friends, please accept my heartfelt condolences. May you find solace in each other’s love and may your tears become reminders of the joy he brought to our lives. Tyler, may you soar with the angels.
