Obituary

Larry Lynn Goins, 68, of Indianapolis passed away on July 15, 2018. He was born in Indianapolis on June 11, 1950 to Frank Goins and Frances Gazvoda Goins Moos, both preceding him in death. Larry is survived by sister, Sandra Heinlein; and many extended family members. Larry was an avid sportsman, a graduate of Washington High School and Purdue University. He retired from Allison Division of GM. A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th Street Indianapolis, IN 46224. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM, also at Stevens Mortuary. Interment to Follow in Floral Park Cemetery. I moved next door to Larry on Christmas, 2017. He was the first neighbor to come say hi and introduce himself. We became fast friends. He even made a path through the woods to make it easier for us to visit. We would sit out by the pond and talk about Christianity, hunting, fishing, wildlife, power equipment, and family. For the short of a time I got to know him, we realized we shared core values and faith. He was a good God fearing man and will be missed deeply by me, my boys, and my wife.

A good buddy and fellow Purdue graduate. We attended several football and basketball games together. We had some good times also at the Slovenian Home. He will be missed.
