Obituary

ndianapolis - Edward (E.J) Sams died December 19. He was born November 26, 1952, graduated in 1971 from Brownsburg High School, and retired in 2016 from Rexnord with 44 years of service. He is survived by his sons Joe and Jeff Sams, grandson Cyrus Sams, ex-wife Melanie McClung-Sams, brothers Jerry Sams, Otis Jr (Rhonda) and sister Sylvia (Bill) Gray). He was preceded in death by his parents Otis and Allie (Smith) Sams, brothers Casey (Lauren), Frank (Janice), brother and sister in law Gilbert and Rita Sams, sister and brother-in-law Ruby and Bill Smith, and sister in law Robyn Sams. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, December 29 at the Stevens Mortuary 5520 West 10th Street Indpls, IN with a gathering from 1:00 pm until time of service.

Prayers go out for E.J. and his family. He has been a part of our family for many years and will be greatly missed. Special prayers are for sons Joe and Jeff as well as extended family members. This holiday season has been impacted by the loss of EJ. - but his imprint on our family will always be with us. May God lend his blessings to the family members.
