I first met Randy more than 20 years ago when I began working at Jackson Oil & Solvents. From the very beginning, I saw that Randy was both a hard worker and someone I could always depend on. Not long after we began working together, he stepped into the role of shop manager, and my admiration for him only grew. Randy had a remarkable gift for understanding how things worked. He could take almost anything apart and, with what seemed like a near-perfect memory, put it back together. His mechanical knowledge was exceptional, and people sought him out for the work that he did and the expertise he shared. What stood out just as much as his skill was his character. Randy was humble and unassuming, never one to draw attention to himself, yet he set an incredibly high standard by the quality of the work that he did. He had the respect of his peers and customers frequently requested him specifically. Randy’s work ethic, talent, and kindness left a lasting mark on those of us who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, but the work that he did and the example he set will continue to inspire. I appreciate everything that he taught me.

Here is a photo of Randy, Jenny, & Jake when Randy brought the crew out to the Jackson Oil Fishing party hosted by Joe Carter. The Collier family cleaned up and out-fished everyone.
