Taisha Marie Walker, 25, of Indianapolis passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2018. She was born in Warner Robins, Georgie A.F.B. on February 19, 1994 to Krista Renee and Thomas Lee Walker III. She graduated from Avon High School in 2012. She was a member of the Bethel Family Worship Center.
She cofounded EmpowHER Indy with her best friend Sabrienne Duncan. They inspired and encouraged woman to excel in life. In 2014 she interned for Mayor Gregory A. Ballard. Taisha was a Jag Specialist for Shelbyville High School in 2016 and Beech Grove High School in 2018.
Taisha is survived by her parents, Krista R. and Thomas L. Walker III of Indianapolis; brother, Thomas L. Walker IV of Indianapolis; sister, Elaine Roldan of The Bronx; nephews, Stephon Murry and Brandon Murry of The Bronx; grandmother, Helen Yow of Indianapolis; Uncle, Christopher “Uncle” Yow of Indianapolis; grandparents, James and Theresa Dunlap of Dayton; aunt, Tiffany Dunlap of Dayton; grandmother, Quintola Miller Walker of Minneapolis; great grandfather, Thomas L. Walker Sr. of Minneapolis; aunt and uncle, Desmond and Amy Walker of Minneapolis; aunt, Jenea Walker of Minneapolis; best friends, Sabrienne Duncan and Emyha Latimore; her very special best friend, Franciel Santos; and her beloved puppy, Shiloh. She was preceded in death by loved ones, Thomas L. Walker Jr. and Joanne W
