I am so very sorry to all of you! Loosing your Mom is heartbreaking. My favorite memory of Velma and Lee is when we all first moved in our new homes on Wellington Ave. Everyone was outside doing yardwork, and your Dad scooped her up in a wheel barrow and ran up the street to the vacant lot next to our house, she was yelling all the way! I remember New Years Eves' and singing around the piano with Velma playing. I truly miss those days!

I am so sorry to learn of Velma's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I transferred from the Lilly Greenfield plant site to Indianapolis around 1990 or maybe 1991. Velma treated me with so much kindness and made me feel so welcome. I will never forget the many times she was so helpful to me as I learned 'the ropes' of downtown Lilly which was so different from Lilly Greenfield! I cherish the fond memories I have of working with Velma. My heart goes out to the family as you mourn the loss of Velma. With heartfelt sympathy, Janice Early
