Kathy Jo Broadstreet Olsen was born August 24, 1962 in Martinsville, Indiana to the union of Melvin D. Broadstreet and Sally Ann Broadstreet.  Kathy departed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Kathy was an executive administrative assistant with Pricewaterhouse Coopers and a member of Kingsway Christian Church in Avon, IN.

 

She leaves to cherish her husband, Craig Peter Brendel Olsen; step-daughter, Chrystal Lynell Olsen; brothers, Mike(Lindsay) and Ken(Tiffany) Broadstreet; sisters, Dianna Blass and Susan Albert(Dave); brother-in-laws, Brian(Ann)Olsen and Denise(Wanda) Edward Olsen, Jr.; grandson, Christian Lucas Olsen; nephews, Jaxon, Chase, Nate, and Max Broadstreet, and Erik(Andrea) and Gavin(Lisa) Olsen; nieces, Susie Bullard(Michael), Jessie Everett(Logan), Katie, Brittany, and Emily Albert, Hannah, Madie, and Leah Broadstreet, Angeline(Eric) Steensland, and Joanna Olsen(Justin Reynolds); great nieces, Abigail Olsen, Avery Olsen, Emma Steensland, Adylyn Bullard, Selah Bullard, Eden Everett and Nora Everett; great nephews, Samuel Olsen, Emmerson Olsen and Theo Bullard.

 

A Celebration of Life and gathering of family and friends to share memories will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 beginning at 2pm until 5pm at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 West 10th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224.

When I hear your name I always remember your smiling face. I was new to Martinsville, and was just starting my sophomore year. Being sixteen and starting a new school was very hard for me. When I saw you walking in the hall you always had a big smile for me. Made me feel wonderful. I loved to watch you cheer. Our brothers played Jr football together so we got to know each other a little more. You will be missed. Rest in peace Kathy Jo. Till we meet a gain.

I do not believe I ever saw anything but sweetness and a little mischievousness on your face during our 9 years working together in our ATA family. For all of us who were around you, the world was always a little brighter! God bless you, Kathy Jo. Yours was a life well lived.

You were one of the three stooges, our Curly Jo. Looking back, you were there for my most important events - my wedding, my babies and my grandbabies. We cried together when we lost our parents and laughed until we cried. You were not only the sweetest person, you were also the strongest. You lived your life with dignity and love, especially for your family. You were a loyal friend and even in greatest pain, you always worried about others. I will miss you everyday, my friend. I love you.
