Obituary

Lloyd Allen Ferris, 89, of Indianapolis passed away on October 11, 2019. Born August 1, 1930 in Marshall, IL to Charles and Irene (Nay) Ferris. Lloyd joined the Air Force in 1947 and retired after 20 years of service in October 1967.   

Lloyd owned his own business, Ferris TV Repair Service. He was a member of St. Jospeh Catholic Church and had served as President of the Men's Club. He also served as a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Son, Mark Ferris; Brothers; Dean (MaryLou) Ferris, Robert Ferris, Woodford (Thelma Jones) Ferris and Keith Ferris; Sister, Melba (Ken) Schartel.

He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 64 years, Billie Joan Ferris; Daughter, Terri (Phil) Yeager; Sons, Phil Ferris, Brian (Karen) Ferris; five grandchildren, Jason and Jordan Sharp, Kacy, Luke and Logan Ferris; Sisters; Rita (Jerry) Michael, Judy Ferris and brother Mike Ferris

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church 1401 S Mickley Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46241 or St. Vincent DePaul 1201 E Maryland St, Indianapolis, IN 46202 or to the Alzheimer's Association 50 E 91st St #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240

A visitation will be held at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th Street Indianapolis, IN 46224 on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM with a Rosary at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1401 S Mickley Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46241 with visitation from 9:00 AM until time of Mass. Interment to follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery.

Lloyd and Joann (aka 'Jo') were always names my parents talked about as I was growing up. Their friendship started in service yet spanned over 40 years and several states. Without a doubt, there was always excitement with a letter, a telephone call or visit. My parents were saddened of the passing of Lloyd and our family extends condolences to you all.
