Edna Gerdts

Edna Gerdts, 83 was born in Indianapolis, Indiana December 9, 1935 to the union of Willard and Dollie McCormack.  Edna was a member of Ben Davis Christian Church.  Edna was a homemaker.  She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and cooking.  She was a NASCAR fan; especially a fan of Jeff Gordon and Dale Jr.   Edna transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, October 10, 2019.  Edna was preceded in death by her husband Sherman Gerdts, to whom she shared forty-three years of marriage. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, son, Steve Gerdts (Carrie), Danville, Indiana; daughters, Becky Gerdts Davis (John), Martinsville, Indiana, Gayle Gerdts Smith, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Norma Gerdts Keslar (Scott), Indianapolis, Indiana; brothers, Wilbur McCormack, Fishers, Indiana, and Norman McCormack (Ruby), Clayton, Indiana; granddaughters, Brandy Davis Lydle (Dan), Indianapolis, Indiana, Sadie Davis Moulton (Dan), Huntsville, Alabama, Amber Smith, Brownsburg, Indiana, Meghan Gerdts, Columbus, Indiana, and Mileah Davis, Huntsville, Alabama; grandson, Zachary Gerdts, Clayton, Indiana; great granddaughters, Cecilia Lydle, Indianapolis, Indiana, Audrey Moulton, Huntsville, Alabama, Elise Moulton, Huntsville, Alabama, and Vera Gerdts, Danville, Indiana; and great grandson, Weston Lydle, Indianapolis, Indiana.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 beginning 2pm-5pm at 127 N CR 1050 E, Indianapolis, Indiana 46234.
