Anne-Marie Rizzo lost her battle to cancer on Wednesday September 25th, 2019 at 3:00am. She was born on March 7th, 1940 in Toul, France to Pierre and Marie-Louise Robinot.

 

At the early age of 15 she met the love of her life. A man named Peter Rizzo, just a tad bit older. She was told by her father when she turned 18, he could send for her to come to the states to be married. In August of 1958, Anne-Marie and Peter got married in Chicago, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie-Louise and father, Pierre, and her husband Peter. She is survived by her children, Steve (Kelly) Rizzo, Karen (Tony) Payne and Dominique (Michael) Yorlano. Grand children, Jessica (Adam) Burke, Jordan Rizzo, Brianne (Will) Rizzo, Bryan (Angela) Hertz, Jennifer (Justin) Volhiem, Christopher (Monica) Payne, Ashley (Andrew) Gasvoda, Anthony (Amber) Yorlano, Danielle (Ryan) Yorlano. Her great grandchildren, Kamaran, Bryan Jr, Emma, Nicholas, Brianna, Joshua, Reighlyn and many nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 10th St., on Sunday, September 29th from 3pm-6pm with services Monday, September 30th at 10:30am at St. Christopher in Speedway, IN.

My Aunt Anne is a beautiful person. She was very funny always laughing & enjoying life. She is going to be very missed but she is up in heaven with people she loves & in no more pain. She will be the brightest ANGEL in heaven. I love you Aunt Anne & I will miss the crazy times we've had as a family. You & my mom were always acting crazy laughing & always having a great time. That's what i will always remember the most "The good times". Rest in Peace Aunt Anne!!!

To Anne Marie, You were a special person in my life when I needed a friend the most! You taught me a passion for French food....particular escargot and the coveted snail butter. Simple cooking lessons would later reflect upon into 5 years of living in Lyon France! Vive la France!! An inspiration to adventure beyond an ordinary cook and always thought back to your basics of fresh Ingredients and proven recipes. I also took note of your effortlessly and elegant entertaining style. I had the pleasure of meeting your Mama and an aunt and uncle on a visit Indy. I am sorry I may have not verbally expressed what an inspiration you were to me but felt we always had a unique friendship. RIP......warmest regards, Beth
