William Osborne

William E. Osborne, 80, of Indianapolis passed away on January 14, 2020. William was born in Detroit, MI on September 23, 1939 to Lawrence and Ann (Gurgacz) Osborne, both preceding him in death. In 1957 William graduated from Bennett High School in Buffalo, NY. He went on to serve proudly and bravely in the United States Navy from 57-59. He was a life member of Post 99 AMVETS and served as the Department Commander from 2003-2004. William retired from Reliable Trailer Company. He was the recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash and Kentucky Colonel. In 1962 he married the love of his life the former Sharon Carney, who survives him. He is also survived by his children David (& Amy Gettys) and Maryann; Grandchildren: Jaynee Osborne, Zachary & Chrissy Osborne, Brandon Osborne (deceased) Salimah Buhari and Ismaeel Buhari; nephews and niece: Shawn & Kathy Clark, Michael & Brenda Clark, Anne Marie Clark, Tim & Audrey Clark and Tom & Daria Clark; great nieces & nephews Jason & Katie Clark, Katie & Kevin Makey, Victoria & Robby Bomer, Emily Clark, Katlyn & Chris Thompson, Patrick Clark, Evan Clark, Liz & Scott Megill and Ryan Clark and several great, great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church 3354 W. 30th ST., Indpls. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 3:00 PM until 6:30 PM, with a Rosary at 6:30 at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls.
