Obituary
Patricia Jane Taylor Ray, 88, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on April 17, 2020. Patricia was born in Indianapolis to Grim and Lena (Vest) Taylor. She was a billing supervisor for Wishard Hospital and enjoyed working at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway gift shop. Patricia was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and devoted herself when volunteering at the Midwest Food Bank. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Oren, Gene and Robert Taylor; sisters Kate Alexander, Marjorie Pearce, Wilma Hatfield, Margaret Haas, Vera Burdine and son, Michael Ray. Patricia is survived by her sons, Anthony (Petra) Ray, Mark (Shonda) Ray; daughter Pattie Ray; daughter-in-law Anita Ray; grandchildren Ashley (Josh) Lepper, Allison (Luke) Patterson, Sara Smith, Shelly (Jon) Parton, Tiffany (Kent) Pruitt, Matthew Ray; great-grandchildren Dayton Parton, Isaac Lepper, Kinley Pruitt, Emma Jane Patterson and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family kindly ask that donations be made to the Midwest Food Bank 6450 S Belmont Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46217

My Aunt Pat was one in a million. So funny and so sweet. A loving and giving person. Back in the day her and my mom used to talk and laugh for hours. I will miss her greatly. Love to all of the family.

Pat Ray was my guardian angel. Back in the early 1980s I lived next door to her with my mom and brothers, I was fresh out of high-school and she helped me get my first job with her at Wishard Hospital. I'll never forget her she was my saving grace. I'm sorry she passed before I had the chance to thank her. Regretfully Kim Tingle
