Elizabeth Gillespie

Bette was in the resident choir I directed a few years ago. She had a fabulous singing voice. She also was always bright, cheerful, and funny. She also danced up a storm at Lanagan Hall parties and especially the Prom with the students from Chatard. She was the life of the party. The residents at St. Aug. and especially Bette always seem forever young so when they pass away, it always breaks my heart. Every time my band played for a party in Lanagan Hall, Bette always came up to the stage to say “Hello, darlin’” and show some great dance moves!
