Obituary
Darrell Raymond Catron, 45, of Indianapolis passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020. He was born in Indianapolis to Darrell Ricky Catron and Vicky Lee Anderson on May 19, 1975. During his childhood he attended St. Michael's School and Boy Scouts Troop 400. Darrell attended Cardinal Ritter High School, where he played on the wrestling team prior to graduating in 1993. He worked with Brother Bob Baxter on youth ministry programs for St. Michael's the Archangel Catholic Church and Cardinal Ritter High School. He enjoyed giving his time to the community by volunteering for many different organizations. Those left to cherish Darrell's memory are his mother; Vicky Lee Anderson his brother, Brian Catron (Angie); his nephews, Jonathan Bewley and Anthony Catron; and his grandpa, Ken Ehrenburg.

Dozens of game nights at Bob and Troy's.
Hundreds of hours of poker at "The Do-Run."
Thousands of hours of Euchre, Spades, and Hearts at my kitchen table. Belting out "American Pie" together at karaoke night.
Running through a torrential rain storm to make it into the movie theater, only to have the film reel get caught and burn a hole through itself halfway through. Listening to Billy Joel's "The Longest Time" on repeat on our way to King's Island. Coming to the hospital after my knee surgery even though I was going home that night. The time and kindness and energy he gave to my young cousins when they were living with Mom and me. Always wearing black sneakers. Always smiling. Calling me Annabelle. I hadn't seen Darrell in several years, as too often happens in long-time friendships, but he really was such a huge part of my life. The memories here are just the first ones that came to my mind, and covered so many moments over so many years. To his mom and Brian, and the rest of his family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are in my prayers, and that Darrell will always be in my heart. ~ Anne
