Marie Henry, age 81, of Avon, IN passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021. She was born in Suffolk, VA on February 27, 1940 to Grace and William T. Everett. Marie worked in the automobile industry until she retired. She was a dedicated and loving wife, sister and friend. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Mike Henry. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Louis J. Henry; sister, Brenda Babb; and her brother, Winifred Carter both of Suffolk, VA. The family has chosen to respect Marie's request not to hold funeral services. She will be laid to rest next to her son at Floral Park Cemetery.

"Marie", as we know her, was a wonderful lady. She was a deeply devoted wife to her husband, Louie, and a homebody. She and Louie were extremely fond of their family, including nephew Donnie Cook, and nieces, Arlene Russell and Susan Craig. Louie was always so proud of being a Marine, and Marie was just as proud of her husband and his service to our country. Marie was a hard working lady, and took great pride in caring for her husband and working around her home. She was caring, sweet, and extremely thoughtful to those who loved her and that she loved. Her kind, warm, and sweet spirit will be sincerely missed. We love you Marie, and we miss you so much already.

Marie was a wonderful lady. She was my grandparents neighbor for my whole life. I didn't get to talk to her much over the last few years, but she was such a sweet soul, always very nice to all us annoying boys around here as we grew up. We knew something terrible happened when we saw the flags were down, Lou's Marine flag never came down.
