James Rushin

James Edward Rushin was born on December 9th, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN. James was the oldest of 6 children born to James and Joyce Rushin. James accepted Christ at an early age. He received his education at Indianapolis Public School #87 and attended Shortridge High School. James was employed by Allison Transmission for 35 years, retiring in June 2008. James married Jeanne M. Dunlap and to this union 1 daughter, Cheryl Mcgee, was born. They later divorced. James enjoyed playing Dad, Pente, video games, listening to Jazz and R&B. He loved spending time with family and friends. James departed this life on Monday, May 31st, 2021, at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Charles. James leaves to mourn his daughter Cheryl Mcgee, his mother Joyce L. Rushin, 2 brothers; Edward L. Rushin and Lee T. Rushin (Octavia), 2 sisters; Lemar E. Moreland (Clarence), and Joyce L. Rushin, 2 grandchildren, Nate Hickman and Jeana Hickman, 2 great grandchildren, Derrion Phillips and Laiya Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
