Obituary of Marjorie Ann Hammond

Marjorie Ann “Mimi” Hammond, 82, of Indianapolis passed away October 26, 2015. She was born to Joseph N. and Margaret E. Yaggi on November 30, 1932. Margie was a homemaker who will be forever known for her home cooked meals, her Mimi-isms, and her capacity to share, teach and model unconditional love. She enjoyed family gatherings, crossword puzzles, traveling, card club, Sunshine Girl lunches, and her Catholic faith. She was a member and volunteer of St. Michael’s Parish for over 60 years. Margie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, William J. Hammond, in 1997 and siblings, Robert J. Yaggi, Phyllis M. Green and Thomas J. Yaggi. She is survived by her children, Robert J. (Bethann) Hammond; Murray W. (Barb) Hammond, Mary Beth (Gregory) Fehribach and Dennis J. Hammond; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Dennis P. (Susan) Yaggi and Judith A. Yaggi; sister in law, Barbara Mascari and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6 from 4 pm – 7:30 pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 7 at 12 pm in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 3352 W. 30th St., Indpls with visitation at church from 10 am until Mass. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
