Obituary of Anita Rose Tapp

Anita Rose (Piecukonis) Tapp, 86, of Indianapolis passed away July 30, 2015. She was born April 4, 1929. Anita worked for Dobb’s House at Weircook Airport in the 70’s as well as other restaurants such as Waffle House and Red Lobster. She belonged to two bowling leagues, Lady Keglers in the early 80’s and Wire Leisure League at Meadows Bowl. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, bowling, crocheting and was a great cook. Anita loved animals, especially cats, and she would give the neighbor’s dog a treat on a daily basis. She enjoyed reading mystery book and was an avid baseball fan. Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Eugene Tapp in 1988, to whom she was married to for 16 years. She is survived by her stepsons, Steven K. of Alma, Arkansas and David E. Tapp of South Carolina; stepdaughter, Penelope A. (Tapp) Genovese of San Diego, California and step grandson, Christopher Acquavella of Detmold, Germany. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12 from 4 pm – 6 pm with a funeral service at 6 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. Interment will be held on Thursday, August 13 at 10 am in Floral Park Cemetery.
